METAA President/Director of Educational Technology and Digital Learning
Annamaria Pisari Schrimpf is currently the Director of Educational Technology and Digital Learning for
Shawsheen Valley Regional Technical District. Annamaria has been an Educational Technology
Administrator for over 25 years. She is a known advocate in the state for technology in education. For
over 18 years, she was the Director of Educational Technology for the Winchester Public Schools. She
has been an educator for more than 30 years teaching Business/Computer Education for Grades 6-12
and at the college level. Her undergraduate degree is from Suffolk University in Business Education and
her graduate degree from Lesley University in Technology in Education. She is the president of
METAA (Massachusetts Educational Technology Administrators Association), past president for
MassCUE and NEISTE. She is on the Digital Learning Advisory Council (DLAC) for the Massachusetts
Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. She was also on the CTO subcommittee of CoSN
whose primary task was to develop a national certification for Chief Technology Officers (CTO).
Annamaria has presented best practices for digital learning and educational technology at both the state
and national level. She is also the 2009 "Making It Happen Award" recipient from ISTE (International
Society for Technology in Education).
